Crama Velo – Organic Wines from Vrancea, Romania

Crama Velo is a boutique organic winery located in the heart of Vrancea, one of Romania’s most historic and diverse wine regions. With vineyards cultivated on the gentle terraces near the Milcov River, our 35 hectares are farmed exclusively according to certified organic practices, emphasizing biodiversity, minimal intervention, and respect for the natural balance of the terroir.

All grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, allowing us to craft small-batch wines that reflect purity, freshness, and authenticity. Fermentations take place with minimal additives, low sulfite usage, and a strong focus on varietal character. Our portfolio includes both traditional Romanian varieties—such as Fetească Neagră, Plăvaie, Busuioacă de Bohotin, Feteasca Regala—and international grapes like Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, vinified in a modern yet artisanal style.

Crama Velo is known for its creative, contemporary approach to packaging and brand storytelling, as well as for limited-edition wines that highlight craftsmanship: orange wines, natural sparkling (Pet-Nat), and barrel-aged selections. Each bottle is made to express the genuine connection between the vineyard, the people who cultivate it, and the clean, sustainable philosophy behind our work.
