SC Bioflora Apuseni SRL is the result of a long-standing Romanian-German collaboration and extensive research with Weleda and Freiburg University. Founded in 2010, the company focuses on the sustainable use of medicinal plants, particularly Arnica montana, from the oligotrophic meadows of the Apuseni Mountains.
Bioflora Apuseni cultivates, collects, and markets medicinal plants in both fresh and dried forms, sourced from wild flora and its own crops. Its agricultural operations span two locations, covering mountain areas (Ghețar village, Apuseni Mountains) and lowland areas (Sâncel commune), to grow medicinal plant species suited to each environment.
